Ovenden Moor Wind Farm is another old-school wind farm that now looks incredibly tired, delapidated and really rather sad. Located just north of Halifax on the edge of Bronte country, the turbines can be seen as far away as Leeds. In 2013 an accident saw blades ripped off and flung across the moor.
UPDATE: The tired old turbines have finally disappeared, leaving just the access tracks and concrete pilings in their place. The bad news is Ovenden Moor is earmarked to be "repowered", with even larger turbines than ever. Not if we can help it!
